Day-shift care assistant work in care homes across Rugby and Coventry. Home-care visits also available to top up your hours. No experience needed — we train you.
We are recruiting care assistants for day shifts in care homes across Rugby and Coventry. If you want to build your hours up, we can add daytime home-care visits around your care-home shifts — you tell us how many hours you want and we fit the work around it.
Days in a care home are busy and varied. You will be helping residents get up, washed and dressed in the morning, supporting them through breakfast, lunch and tea, helping with medication rounds where you are trained to, and being part of the activities and the conversation that make a home feel like one. Families visit during the day, so you are often the friendly face they see and the person they ask how their mum or dad is doing. There are more of you on shift during the day than at night, so it is a good place to learn the job well.
Rugby is our home town — our office is on Central Park, so this is the one area where you can walk in and talk to us in person if something needs sorting. Coventry is a short drive away and has more and larger homes. It is a compact patch, so you spend less of your day travelling and more of it doing the job.
Plenty of our best carers came from retail, hospitality, or from caring for their own family. If you are reliable, patient and genuinely interested in people, we will train you in the rest — a full induction, the Care Certificate, and all the mandatory training the role needs.
This is a zero-hours contract: you tell us your availability and pick up the shifts that suit you, with no obligation to accept a set number of hours.
This is our current rate. The basic hourly rate is the National Living Wage and is reviewed at least every April, in line with the legal minimum, so it rises over time rather than staying fixed.
Shifts, hours and which home or client you are assigned to depend on availability and the needs of the care homes and people we support, so they can vary from week to week. We will always be clear with you about what is available before you commit.
